The Clinch River Chapter will join the oldfashioned Independence Day celebration known as Norris Day on Tuesday, July 4, in downtown Norris.

It’s a quaint smalltown celebration—decorated bicycles, rubber ducky races and all.

We’ll have a booth on Norris Commons with a fly casting game and Stream Explorer magazines for children, fly casting lessons for adults, fly tying demos for all and lots of information about the chapter, about the upcoming Big Clinch River Cleanup and about Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing for disabled veterans.

Please come by to see us—maybe even stick around to help us—as we show our Norris neighbors what Trout Unlimited and Project Healing Waters are all about. Our booth will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. Entrance to the festival is free. (If you’d like to help with the booth, please contact Dennis Baxter at dsbaxter1@live.com or (865) 494-6337.)

Kids, spouses and friends will find plenty of other things to do as well, ranging from a quilt show to children’s games, a children’s dog show, food and fun.
